Seller Terms and Conditions

Welcome to the LocalZ Directory and Marketplace (“LocalZ”). By opening a shop and selling on LocalZ, you agree to these Terms and Conditions, as well as our Privacy Policy.

1. Selling Overview

LocalZ is a U.S.-based marketplace where you can sell physical products that you’ve created or sourced directly to buyers across the United States. By becoming a seller, you agree to uphold the standards outlined in this policy and comply with all applicable U.S. laws and regulations.

2. What Can Be Sold on LocalZ

Sellers may list physical products that are:
• Handmade or handcrafted items
• Vintage goods (at least 20 years old)
• Artisan foods and packaged goods
• Custom or personalized items
• Art prints and original artwork
• Beauty and wellness products
• Home décor and lifestyle goods
• Apparel and accessories
• Other unique, small-batch, or locally sourced items made or distributed within the United States

Each listing must include:
• A clear and accurate description of the item, including how and by whom it was made or sourced
• Disclosure of any production partners (if applicable)
• Original photos or videos of the item (no stock images)

Note: Services, digital downloads, and virtual offerings are not permitted on LocalZ.

3. What Cannot Be Sold

The following items are prohibited:
• Adult content or sexually explicit material
• Counterfeit or IP-infringing items
• Hazardous, illegal, or stolen goods
• Gift cards, referral codes, or crowdfunding opportunities
• Dropshipped or mass-resold items (unless explicitly permitted)
• Non-physical goods (e.g., digital files or services)

LocalZ reserves the right to remove prohibited listings and suspend or terminate seller accounts for repeated or serious violations.

4. Shop Management

Your shop must represent your business truthfully and professionally. By selling on LocalZ, you agree to:
• Provide accurate, up-to-date information about your products and brand
• Follow your own shop policies (shipping, returns, communication)
• Avoid price-fixing or behavior that manipulates search or buyer activity
• Respect all copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws

5. Seller Standards

All sellers must:
• Ship products on time as per their stated processing and dispatch times
• Respond promptly to buyer inquiries
• Resolve disputes directly with buyers (or through LocalZ’s resolution system if needed)
• Cancel and fully refund any order you cannot fulfill

6. Shipping Requirements

• Responsibility: You are responsible for shipping your products safely and on time
• Tracking: Where available, tracking info should be provided to buyers
• Delays: If delays occur, inform the buyer promptly and take steps to resolve issues
• Shipping Area: Sellers must be based in the United States and ship only to U.S. buyers at this time

7. Commission and Payout Policy

Commission Fee

LocalZ retains a 20% commission on the total transaction amount (excluding taxes and shipping).

Payout Process
• Commissions are only deducted after the product has been confirmed delivered
• A mandatory 14-day holding period applies from the date of sale to allow for delivery confirmation or potential credit card chargebacks
• After the 14-day window has passed and no disputes are filed, your remaining earnings (80%) will be released to your connected payment method
• All payouts are processed in accordance with your chosen payout schedule

8. Content and Listings

Sellers are responsible for all content uploaded, including:
• Product descriptions
• Photos and videos
• Any additional media used to promote your items

Prohibited content includes:
• Hate speech or abusive language
• IP violations or counterfeit products
• Personal information or private details
• Attempts to redirect buyers off-platform

LocalZ may remove any content that violates these rules without prior notice.

9. Professional Communication

Sellers must use the platform messaging tools responsibly. The following are not permitted:
• Spam or promotional messages unrelated to transactions
• Harassment or offensive language
• Requests to conduct transactions outside of LocalZ

Sellers must notify the buyer and issue appropriate refunds when canceling orders.

10. Feedback and Reviews

Buyers can leave public reviews, including star ratings and optional media. Reviews:
• Must follow LocalZ’s content rules
• May be responded to by the seller
• Cannot be manipulated (e.g., soliciting fake reviews or retaliating against buyers)

11. Intellectual Property

You are responsible for ensuring your listings do not violate IP rights. Violations can be reported through our platform’s reporting system.

12. Legal and Regulatory Compliance

All sellers are required to:
• Follow all applicable federal, state, and local laws in the United States
• Ensure product safety, truthful advertising, and proper labeling
• Handle taxes, shipping compliance, and business registration as required by law

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Texas, United States. Any legal disputes must be brought exclusively in a court located in Texas.

14. Updates to These Terms

LocalZ may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
